I write, edit and produce multimedia content about science and the environment, mostly focused along that thin and shifty line between people and their natural place.
A few years ago I graduated with a history degree from Emory University in Atlanta and took off for as much wilderness as I could find. I came across places deeply tied to, often dependent on, the people who resided in them, and vice versa. After seasons in Patagonia, Montana, East Africa and Central America and back in my home state of Texas for grad school, I landed in Northern California, where I write for the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and work as an editorial fellow at Sierra Magazine.
When not working, I'm most likely on a trail with my wife Mindy and 4-year-old pointer, Davy.
